【A Beginning with a Heartfelt Commitment to the Land】 The name "Xinyi" is a homophone for "Xinyi Township," where Lin Zhonggang is located. The name reflects his deep affection for the land and symbolizes the profound connection between Brother Lin and this region. Brother Lin grew up on this land, and his family's tradition of farming instilled in him a natural affinity for it. Although the area was devastated by Typhoon Hebo and its associated landslides in 1996, the farm gradually resumed cultivation after an application was made with the National Taiwan University Experimental Forest Management Office, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to protecting this land. For the past 20 years, Lin Zhonggang has meticulously cultivated fruit trees, starting with small saplings. The core of Xinyi Natural Farm is preserving the land's memory, carrying family emotions, and coexisting with nature. [Green Conservation | An Environment Where Wildlife Coexists with Farms] Mr. Lin loves animals and keeps three dogs on his farm—Xiao Huang, Xiao Hei, and Xiao Hei No. 2—as companions. They roam freely while he works, always following him, patrolling the fields and guarding the farm, becoming his most loyal partners. This farm retains a rich natural environment, making it a habitat for many creatures. Palm-sized butterflies often flutter among the trees, while mantises, bees, and ants dart about, creating a vibrant daily scene. Occasionally, monkeys from the mountains will "visit" the crops, much to Mr. Lin's amusement and exasperation. Mr. Lin shared that once, a pangolin appeared near Xiao Huang's doghouse.
